PH Whale Watch Dive & Snorkel in Dominica

We went snorkeling on the Champagne beach (which is a must thing to do if you are in Dominica!). We didn't have our masks and fins, so we rented it at PH whale watch. We didn't get only the snorkeling gear, but also a very nice welcoming, the best advance where to swim to see the bubbles and all the colorful fish. And after that, we stayed with the crew for few more hours, just hanging out in very friendly atmosphere. They also do a guided snorkeling tours and whales watching tours. Highly recommended!

We booked their guided snorkeling tour last week and it was the highlight of our Dominica trip! I’m not sure how to spell our guide’s name, but he and Brittany were awesome to hang out with for the afternoon. We had such a good time with them! I have only snorkeled once before, and they showed us different fish, coral, and where to find everything at the two different locations we visited. It was a bit a cold and windy but the last stop on the trip is a visit to a beach bar in Soufriere where the hot springs trickle out into the bay. It was perfect to sit in the warm water and heat back up after a cold swim and have a drink. The company, the views, the day on the water—it can’t be beat!

We got down to Champagne Beach and thought it would be easy to know where to go to find the "bubbles". In mid-January we were the only ones on the beach other than the couple who run PH While Watch. We talked to them about where to go, rented snorkel and fins and then lounged in their beach chairs afterwards. When there are more tourists it looks like they have cold drinks. Highly recommend for snorkeling! After you come down the stairs to the beach, it is the hut that is farthest from you.
